
Our Story
Hand blended, cup by cup.
Wild Steep began at a kitchen table with a set of scales, a stack of jars, and a stubborn belief that a cup of tea should taste like something.
We started Wild Steep because most tea on the shelf tastes like the box it came in. Dusty leaf, blunt flavour, a lot of hype and very little character. We wanted the opposite: whole leaf, whole botanicals, and flavour you can actually taste in the cup.
Our goal is simple. High quality leaf and botanical flavours in every cup.

New blends, developed by hand.
Every blend starts as a scribble in a notebook. A season, a mood, a memory of a cup. We test ratios in small batches, weigh by hand, brew it, taste it, adjust. Most ideas don't survive. The ones that do earn their place in the range.

Blended by hand, in small batches.
No industrial mixers. No flavourings sprayed on afterwards. Each blend is folded together by hand in small batches so the leaf stays whole and the botanicals stay recognisable. If you open a pouch and see rose petals, cinnamon bark, whole cardamom pods — that's because that's what's in it.

On the stalls, in front of real people.
Before a blend goes on the site, it goes on the stall. Markets, fairs, pop-ups. We pour tasting cups, hand them across the table, and watch faces. It's the fastest, most honest feedback there is.

Direct customer feedback shapes the range.
What sells out first. What people come back for. What they ask for that we don't yet make. Every stall is a conversation, and those conversations end up in the next round of blending. The range you see today has been shaped, one honest opinion at a time, by the people drinking it.

Premium single origin loose leaf and whole botanicals.
We source single origin loose leaf — green, black, white, oolong, lapsang, rooibos — from growers we trust, alongside whole herbs, flowers, roots and fruits. No dust, no fannings, no flavourings, no fillers. Just leaf and botanicals worth brewing.

Cold Season, Root Restore, Orchard Glow, Fireside Digestif, Twilight Drift — every pouch on the shelf started as a scribble, survived the stall, and earned its spot. New blends land as the seasons turn and conversations at the table point us somewhere new.
